Cologne in orange

The city of Cologne was plunged into Aperol mania with a city takeover and bathed in the bright orange color that Aperol is known for.

The aim was to become the talk of the town, create awareness and generate PR and user-generated content on the social web. To this end, a comprehensive concept was created for a city takeover in Cologne to announce the events, convey emotions and whet the appetite for Aperol and the events planned in this context. In July, the time had come and the whole of Cologne celebrated “Aperol meets Kölle”. The parties were fully booked, the boat tours even within a few hours. People celebrated, danced, laughed and the whole of Cologne lit up in orange-red, which also made the social media channels shine with numerous posts and pictures using the hashtag #aperolmeetskölle.
