Ströer presents smart and sustainable communication infrastructure at the GREENTECH FESTIVAL

From June 22 to 24, 2022, the GREENTECH FESTIVAL will take place for the first time this year on the site of the former capital city airport Tegel. The festival consists of different elements: The GREEN AWARDS on June 22 will be followed by the CONFERENCE on June 23 and the EXHIBITION on June 23 and 24.  Together with guests, partners, exhibitors and speakers, the initiators of the festival, including Formula 1 world champion and sustainability entrepreneur Nico Rosberg, will focus on the process of change towards a conscious and sustainable future under the motto #togetherwechange. The GREENTECH FESTIVAL thus offers a diverse approach to the topic of sustainability and is one of the largest festivals of its kind worldwide.

This year, Ströer is once again supporting the GREENTECH FESTIVAL as a premium partner and will be present on site as an exhibitor with sustainable infrastructure solutions and a lot of sustainable city content. At its own stand, for example, Ströer will be displaying various exhibits that filter pollutants out of the air – naturally or with smart environmental technology, integrated into outdoor of home screens or street furniture: festival visitors can find out about greening concepts for street furniture as well as a bus shelter with active air filtration and a solar panel, digital possibilities for urban communication as well as individual solutions. At its stand, Ströer will demonstrate the contribution that a smart communication infrastructure in public spaces can make to a more sustainable development of cities. Siren solutions will also be presented for the first time, which can be integrated on advertising installations and supplement the previously purely visual warning messages on the screens with acoustic signals. This way, the crisis teams of the cities can be supported in setting up a new siren infrastructure to warn the population.

“We are looking forward to presenting our sustainable solutions and city content on sustainable developments from society and the economy to interested partners at this year’s GREENTECH FESTIVAL. Digital-out-of-home and the resulting smart infrastructures in cities open up new communication possibilities. In this way, we can give all actors in the market the space to make sustainable developments visible and thus to shape change themselves in real time. Moreover, thanks to creative solutions and advancing technological progress, street furniture and DOOH screens are themselves increasingly becoming a medium whose DNA is already sustainable in itself with 100 percent green electricity or tested air filter systems,” says Alexander Stotz, CEO Ströer Media Deutschland GmbH.

For Ströer, the partnership and the associated media support of the GREENTECH FESTIVAL are an expression of the conviction that sustainability and business success are mutually dependent. In its sustainability strategy, Ströer focuses primarily on the effects on its core business – outdoor advertising. In the environmental sector and in relation to its street furniture and advertising media, Ströer can implement the sustainability strategy particularly effectively and offer its customers smart and sustainable infrastructure and communication solutions. Ströer’s goal is to help cities become more sustainable. Ströer has the know-how and the infrastructure to initiate local, sustainable change and to push the development towards a smart city by building sustainable and digital infrastructure solutions.

Ströer publishes an annual sustainability report. You can find the report and more on the topic of sustainability at Ströer here: www.stroeer.de/nachhaltigkeit/
