This Thursday, a completely revamped version of the t-online weather app will be released for all users. The updated service now offers pertinent weather information for 1.5 million locations worldwide and includes a proprietary rain alert that provides a two-hour precipitation (rain, snow, sleet) forecast with details on intensity and duration. In addition, the app features a 48-hour forecast that is updated hourly, as well as a 14-day forecast. The design and usability have also been brought up to date.
The existing t-online weather app has been downloaded 3.5 million times, making it one of the most popular and most downloaded apps in the German market.

The app relaunch will be accompanied by a Germany-wide campaign on public video platforms, social media and t-online that will advertise the brand new version of the t-online weather app and the new rain alert feature.
