t-online wins the German Brand Award 2026

t-online has been honoured at the German Brand Award 2026 in the ‘Excellence in Brand Strategy and Creation’ category. The award recognised the current brand campaign, which was developed and implemented in collaboration with the agency DogEar.

At the heart of the award-winning work lies the strategic repositioning of the brand under the guiding principle ‘decently informed’. Against the backdrop of a changing media market, the campaign aims to strengthen trust in independent reporting and consolidate t-online’s position as a news platform with wide reach.

“We are delighted that our brand strategy for t-online has impressed the jury of the German Brand Award. At the same time, it spurs us on to continue along this path with determination,” says Arne Henkes, Chief Content Officer at Ströer Content Group GmbH.

In terms of design, the campaign relies on a minimalist visual language and clear messages. In terms of content, the focus is on context and reliability. At the same time, t-online deliberately distances itself from sensationalist or polarising coverage.

The nationwide DOOH campaign has been running in several phases for the past year. Its sustained presence strengthens brand awareness and positioning in the advertising market.

The awards ceremony took place on Thursday evening, 25 June.
