Nagelsmann – The Youngest One: New football podcast from t-online and watson.de

t-online and watson.de tell the story of Germany national team manager Julian Nagelsmann in a new podcast: “Nagelsmann – The Youngest One. The story of an extraordinary career”. The six-part football podcast takes listeners right up to the 2026 World Cup and explores the rise of the youngest national team manager of all time – from the early days of his coaching career to his role as the hope of German football.

The focus is on the remarkable transformation following the home European Championship: Nagelsmann’s words after the bitter quarter-final exit did not sound like empty platitudes, but rather like a promise that players and fans believed in. The series explores how a temporary national coach became a central figure embodying the hopes of an entire footballing nation.

The podcast is hosted by t-online sports editors Lukas Grybowski and Nikolai Stübner. They present the episodes and speak with guests, including Stefan Effenberg, Nils Petersen and Michael Reschke, who assess Julian Nagelsmann’s work, his impact on players and those around him, and his significance for German football.

“Following the successful podcast on Toni Kroos two years ago, Lukas and Nikolai have followed it up brilliantly with ‘Nagelsmann – The Youngest One’. Anyone who’s ever wanted to know everything about our national coach will find out in this podcast,” says t-online’s head of sport, Andreas Becker, describing the latest project.

The podcast “Nagelsmann – The Youngest One. The story of an extraordinary career” is produced by t-online and watson.de and is available free of charge on popular podcast platforms as well as on t-online and watson.de. The podcast is being promoted via Ströer’s DOOH screens in public spaces.
