Lajos Lange strengthens t-online.de as new CTO

Lajos Lange is reinforcing t-online.de as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Ströer Digital Publishing with immediate effect. In the newly created management position, the 38-year-old strengthens the management team and in this function is responsible for the implementation of the new technical vision for t-online.de.

In his previous position at Axel Springer, Lajos Lange was VP Technology responsible for the web, app and CMS production systems of the national content brands BILD, WELT, AutoBILD and ComputerBILD. Over the past 8 years, he has helped shape the digital transformation at Axel Springer and the associated cultural transformation in various projects. For example, with the merger of Welt and N24 in 2015/2016, he had already established a cloud based solution and built Germany's fastest news portal. As a graduate engineer, he began his career in 2007 at the Fraunhofer Institute FOKUS in the telecommunications sector.

"Tech Empowers Journalism is a mantra to which I feel committed! Our goal in technology must be to support the work of our journalists with the latest technologies and to create outstanding products for our users and customers. I am very much looking forward to contributing my expertise and developing t-online.de to the next level with my colleagues," says Lajos Lange.

"With Lajos Lange, we have gained a cloud expert who will further develop our system architecture, IT organization and strategy. Our joint focus is on the development of t-online.de into the No. 1 media brand," says Marc Schmitz, CEO of Ströer Content Group.
