Air-purifying, PVC-free and climate-neutral Giant Posters: blowUP media is taking the next steps towards sustainability

Air-purifying Giant Posters "The Pure" – bookable now / PVC-free Giant Posters made from recycled materials / Climate-neutral production

With the aim of continuously improving its ecological footprint and taking further important steps towards sustainability, blowUP media is now offering its clients new options for booking sustainably produced Giant Posters. Since June, advertisers are able to book a 100 percent PVC-free Giant Poster. Depending on the product type, the new Giant Poster material is also made from up to 100 percent recycled materials.

“The careful use of resources is a high priority for us. By using PVC-free and recycled materials, we are taking the next step towards sustainability and will continue to drive our activities forward in the future", says Katrin Robertson, CEO of the blowUP media group.

In addition, clients have the option of adding an air-purifying coating to their Giant Posters. "The Pure", which is already being used at blowUP media in Great Britain, is an ultra-thin, transparent layer made of active titanium dioxide that uses photocatalytic characteristics to decompose harmful substances such as exhaust nitric oxides. A Giant Poster with a size of 500 square meters has the air-purifying effect of 35 large leaf trees.

Climate-neutrally produced Giant Posters

Since the beginning of the year, blowUP media is offering its clients Giant Posters that have been produced in a CO2 neutral manner. In close cooperation with their printing partner and the renowned climate protection agency natureOffice, the Giant Poster provider has analysed the CO2 emissions of its poster material and will offset these with a compensation project specifically tailored to blowUP media.

With “Germany Plus Green City” blowUP media combines certified climate protection with environmental commitment in the urban locations in which the company is represented. One tonne of CO2 will, in future, be offset by blowUP media's Gold Standard climate protection project “Burn Stoves” in Kenya. In order to also make a local contribution to environmental protection, blowUP media will support the “Green City e.V.” initiative in Munich with an additional 5 euros per tonne of CO2.

As proof of CO2 compensation, blowUP media clients will receive a certificate about the compensated emissions during poster production for each booking they make. These CO2 savings can be offset by clients within the framework of their own sustainability projects. In addition, a “climate-neutral printed” logo with a client-specific ID can be printed on the Giant Poster.
