On 1 October, familie.de will have a new management duo: Alannah Benfer will take over as editor-in-chief and will be responsible for the strategic development of the platform. At the same time, she will remain editor-in-chief of desired, contributing her many years of experience in the lifestyle and family sector. She will be supported by Sarah Plück, previously editorial SEO expert, who will manage the day-to-day operations at familie.de as deputy editor-in-chief. Together, they will be responsible for the disciplinary management of the team. The familie.de and desired.de portals are part of Ströer Media Brands GmbH.
Alannah Benfer has been with the company since 2018 and has helped shape the content of desired in various roles before being appointed editor-in-chief in 2024. Sarah Plück started as an online editor in 2020 and most recently contributed significantly to optimising the portals' reach as SEO manager. The appointment of both executives is a clear signal of the company's commitment to developing talent from within its own ranks and promoting talent within the editorial team.
